Josh’s Wildlife Tours

By booking a tour with Josh’s Wildlife Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants taking part in any tour operated by Josh’s Wildlife Tours (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Wildlife Sightings

Josh’s Wildlife Tours offers guided experiences in natural environments. While we aim to provide the best possible opportunity to observe wildlife, we cannot guarantee that any wildlife will be seen. Wildlife behaviour is unpredictable and sightings depend on natural conditions beyond our control.

No refunds or compensation will be provided due to a lack of wildlife sightings.

2. Fitness and Health Requirements

Participants must be fit and healthy enough to walk unassisted through bushland, forest, or uneven terrain for the duration of the tour.

By participating, you confirm that:

You are physically capable of completing the tour

  • You are physically capable of completing the tour

  • You do not have any medical condition that would place yourself or others at risk

If you are unsure whether the tour is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.

3. Accessibility

Due to the natural environments we operate in, our tours are not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility.

4. Payments

Full payment is required on the day of the tour before it commences

  • Payment is made via direct bank transfer unless otherwise agreed

  • A 10% deposit is required to officially book in a tour

  • Failure to make full payment before the tour starts may result in refusal to participate

  • Full payment is required on the day of the tour before it commences

5. Customer Cancellations

  • Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a tour

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start time, or failure to attend the tour (no-show), may result in no refund

  • Where possible, we may offer to reschedule a tour at our discretion

All cancellation requests must be communicated directly to Josh’s Wildlife Tours via email.

6. Tour Cancellations by Us

Josh’s Wildlife Tours reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify a tour at any time due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Unsafe weather conditions

  • Environmental hazards

  • Wildlife activity

  • Safety concerns

  • Guide illness or unforeseen operational issues

If we cancel a tour, any payments already made will be refunded in full or rescheduled where possible.

7. Participant Responsibility and Safety

Participants must:

  • Follow all instructions given by the tour guide

  • Stay with the group at all times unless instructed otherwise

  • Act responsibly and respectfully towards wildlife, the environment, and other participants

Josh’s Wildlife Tours reserves the right to remove any participant from a tour if their behaviour is unsafe or disruptive. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

8. Environmental Responsibility

Participants must not:

  • Feed or interfere with wildlife

  • Remove plants, animals, or natural materials

  • Leave rubbish or damage the environment

We operate on a leave-no-trace principle.

9. Confidentiality of Tour Locations

To protect wildlife, habitats, and sensitive locations:

  • Exact tour locations, wildlife sites, and access points must not be shared publicly

  • This includes, but is not limited to, posting on social media, blogs, forums, review sites, or sharing GPS coordinates or detailed directions

  • Photos and videos may be shared, provided they do not reveal specific locations or sensitive information

Josh’s Wildlife Tours may restrict or prohibit photography in certain areas for conservation or safety reasons.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in removal from the tour and/or refusal of future bookings.

10. Risk and Liability (Including Snake Bites)

Participation in wildlife tours involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Uneven or slippery terrain

  • Weather conditions

  • Encounters with wildlife, including reptiles such as snakes

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Josh’s Wildlife Tours is not liable for injuries, illness, loss, damage, or death resulting from participation in the tour, including but not limited to snake bites, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Participants are responsible for following safety instructions provided by the guide, including guidance on wildlife awareness and behaviour.

11. Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Josh’s Wildlife Tours accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal items during the tour.

12. Changes to These Terms

Josh’s Wildlife Tours may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available on our website and will apply to all tours.
